Fidelity Bank is proud to announce that we have successfully donated over 8,000 non-perishable food items to food banks across North Carolina and Virginia to give back to the communities we serve and spread some holiday cheer. Donations were collected at each branch through the end of December and delivered to a local food bank of their choice. Tom Cox, Branch Manager, chose the Holly Springs Food Cupboard; a nonprofit that provides supplemental food and referral assistance to the Holly Springs community.

“We are thankful for all the customers, employees, and residents who stopped by our branch to donate food. We truly appreciate the staff and volunteers at the Holly Springs Food Cupboard who assist so many in our community,” said Cox.

The Bank’s South Gastonia branch delivered their donations to S.O.C.K.S. Crisis Ministry; a nonprofit that provides crisis assistance to Gaston County.

“The team at Gastonia-Union Road did a great job at generating energy around it, and we had a steady flow of donations,” said Jonathan Yandle, Branch Manager. “By giving back, Fidelity Bank showed once again that we truly are a community bank.”

“We thank you for the donation of food and staples,” shared Lee Allen, Director of S.O.C.K.S. “The true meaning of caring about others was shown in what you have done.”

In years past, our customers have helped us give back to local organizations including Toys for Tots, area schools, and more. This year was no exception, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their continued participation and generosity.

Willa Spivey, Branch Manager at Fidelity Bank Rockingham, said it best, “There’s nothing like the love and support of a small community.”
