FUQUAY-VARINA, North Carolina (September 8, 2017) – The Equifax cybersecurity incident, which may have potentially impacted approximately 143 million United States consumers, is raising a lot of concern. Fidelity Bank reports credit-related information on loans and credit cards to credit bureaus. Please be assured that your information at Fidelity Bank has not been compromised; this incident occurred solely within Equifax.

Equifax recommends that consumers call Equifax’s dedicated contact center at 866-447-7559, which the company set up to assist consumers concerned about this issue. The call center is open every day (including weekends) from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. eastern standard time.
Beware of fraudulent schemes that claim they will help you with this issue. Be sure to contact Equifax directly in the methods described above so that they can directly assist you.
