Fidelity Bank was excited to be honored as a 2023 General Federation of Women’s Clubs of North Carolina (GFWC-NC) Corporate Champion for Women and Children on October 27, 2023. GFWC-NC is part of the global women’s organization, GFWC which was formed in 1902 and is currently the largest women’s organization in the world. GFWC focuses on five community service areas: education, arts and culture, environment, civic engagement and outreach, and health and wellness. They also concentrate on community issues such as domestic violence prevention, giving scholarships to those in need, and legislative reform.

The event was held at The Women’s Club of Raleigh and had over 100 people in attendance. Attendees enjoyed live music, great food, and networking with other businesses with similar charitable endeavors. Honorees were nominated by clubwomen throughout North Carolina and selected by a committee based on their outreach, impact, and size. Fidelity Bank was one of four organizations honored. Kim Fulcher, GFWC-NC President, stated “It is a privilege to highlight and recognize the accomplishments and positive impacts of these companies. It’s great to know there are so many corporate partners who share the GFWC-NC vision of volunteerism and community service.”

Fidelity Bank and its associates were recognized for their commitment to giving back to local communities, particularly public schools throughout NC, SC, and VA, hunger relief agencies and civic groups such as the Kiwanis Club, the Masonic Home for Children, and The Carying Place. Fidelity Bank’s employee maternity and paternity leave, and community and family time off policies were also celebrated. Fidelity Bank was proud to be a recipient of this award!
